Its the last few days before Christmas. Consumption of sugar is up and office productivity is down.
Monday I grumbled that I'm not as popular as I thought I was because no one has left any little gifts on my desk. Tuesday I grumbled that giving gifts in the office is stupid and can hurt feelings. Wednesday I grumbled as I frantically drove to a 24hr Walgreen's to buy last minute chocolate for the people who left last minute gifts on my desk! I then stole some wrapping paper from my co-worker and secretly wrapped the aforementioned chocolate in the filing room.
I don't think the rule "It's better to give than receive" applies to work mates.
