Tattoos

To me there is nothing more beautiful than words inked permanently onto skin. Word tattoos captivate me time and time again.

And there is something unique about the individuals who decide to ink such words onto their skin, something noble in believing in a sentence so strongly that you are compelled to emblazon it across your chest, your arm or your back. Presently on my foot I have "closer to free".   I am often asked what does it mean and I have to admit that I find your question insulting.  I'll never understand why you picked that engagement ring or why you named your child that name. How could you possibly understand my passion?  All I can tell you is that my tattooed phrase means something to me - an inspiration for living my life.

I keep a list of the thoughts and quotes that have inspired me.  I want to add some words to my wrist tattoo but I don't know how I'll pick just a few.  The body is a canvas.  There is no such thing as "a last tattoo".
