Moanday

Welcome to Moanday.  Upon my brewed awakening, I stumble into the kitchen notice this LARGE (let's make it HUGE) black spot in the corner. Upon further inspection it 's- OMG !!!!!- a tarantula!!! (Ok a wolf spider but it was THAT BIG!) Eeek!!! Luckily I was able to brew coffee without any major incidents. As I hunker down on the couch with my java, I keep an eye on the mass between sips. The next thing I know its gone!!! Ack!!
I then proceed to tell the kitty the tale of horror, trying to forewarn him before he heads to the food dish. Can you believe the little guy just yawns and turns over. Gee- thanks for the comfort and support.

Fastforward - Finally ready for work I head back to the spiders den, aka kitchen, to grab my stuff. Hoping it's not covered in spider cooties by now. As I round the corner......ACK!!! there it is!!! It has travelled 5 feet since the last sighting!! Red Alert! RED ALERT!!!!  Immediately I spring into action and cover the gi-normous 8 legged spider-zilla with the nearest thing: a wine glass (left over from a minor weekend indulgence hehehe). And it worked. Mission accomplished! Whew- spider trapped. Ha ha - now who's having the last laugh?!

Once I'm done LOL I realize **gulp** that I can't leave an upside down wine glass on the rug. Should I leave a note on it for D to handle the situation? And what would I write? "Hi Hon- Have a great day. Love you....PS please dispose of the spider cause I'm too chicken shit to do it.." Not quite the image I want to convey.

Hmmm...hmmmm... so obviously, like everything else, it is going to be up to me to do something about this. Think girl think.  Gingerly I insert a piece of cardboard under the glass thereby sealing the spid-ephant inside. I race to the balcony and toss him into the trees. Unfortunately I missed and he plummeted 4 stories the ground. Ooops- sorry about. Didn't see it coming.

Did you really think when you started reading and saw the word 'spider' that this was going to have a happy ending???
