Bad Kitty

Oh my- I have been so bad.  After I left that "revolving door warning" on Craigslist and received a few resumes,  I got to thinking about the people who applied.  Ok, loser aspect aside, they are still my competition.   Hmmm......and so began the start of an evil plan.

Yesterday I posted a fake ad to scope out the competition.  I wanted to see salary expectations to know if I'm in or out of the ballpark.  I wanted to assess skills and resume styles.  And I just wanted to be bad.

Well holy crapinolli!  Here's a hi-lite of my findings:  People responded with "Dear Hiring Person.  To Whom It May Concern. Dear Recruiter"  So many responded and forgot to attach their resume.  Oops.  At least my salary request seems to be in-line with other experienced people.

I feel bad- ok ok - so I kinda feel bad that I tricked these people but sometimes you have to play dirty. (Ah- who am I kidding?  I don't feel bad at all)

Now I'm going to take my newly gained knowledge and tweak my resume a bit more before the moral police show up.
