Strange But True:
On Tuesday I got an email Evil Eye asking for my references. Then on Thursday the HR lady called and said Evil Eye wants to offer me the job- pending a reference check. She said if it all worked out, I would see an employment offer in my email Friday. No offer- no job.
All day Friday I check and check and check my email. 11am, 1pm, 3pm, rolling into 5pm. Past 5pm…..Since it is end of the work day I’m horrified that there has been no offer. OMG!!! Not only am I fucking crushed, frustrated, angry and depressed- now I’m paranoid wondering which reference did me in. And what do I do? Stress roller coaster. I wonder if I should call or email this HR lady and ask her WTF happened. Even Google has no answer to that. I ended up going to bed as I just couldn’t cope. At one point I was even wondering if I dreamed the whole thing as its so bazaar.
I woke up at 8pm and there it was- the job offer !!! I almost passed out! And ironically, they want me to start Monday- exactly one year to the date this entire nightmare began.
Somedays my freaky life scares me.
